Meet the Parents?

A MAN AND a woman, shouting in the park. Ignoring pleas to interact.
A couple at home, telling their child to watch their own TV, so they themselves can watch their own TV.
People absorbed in themselves, unwrung sponges, giving the young ones tablets, to cure their own sickness.
Some even do a great job of raising them – glasses, bottles or cans.
Twosomes sat on a bus, allowing the contents of their pram to scream, lest showing any attention be a sign of weakness.
I see them everywhere.
Two’s and one’s, or divorced with daughters and sons.
But rarely, do I see a parent.

  1. Perception is reality and I love the honesty of your post. ( And, thank you for the visit to my blog. I am flattered.)

    1. Well thank you also for commenting 🙂

  2. Thoughtful post, but thankfully not all parents are like that.

    1. Thankfully!
And I know its easy to make judgements of strangers. Classic fundamental attribution error but something of a pattern.

Please, type what you think
