I HAVEN’T BLOGGED in over a year for one reason or another. I’ve updated the look of the site, the Greyzed theme was getting stale.
For anyone that remembers me or still stops by now and again, I’ll be hopping over to your blogs soon and getting back into the swing of the blogosphere.
The only news I have is that I finished a book and not the book I thought I’d finish. Two edits laters and I’m still needing to fine tune it, and contemplating getting a literary agent or going solo and self-publishing. The good aspect of DIY is I get more profits, if it sells. The negative is it’ll be hard to shift copies, and going through a publisher would be ideal from a number of angles, not least having a physical book on shelves instead of an ebook.
Any thoughts on publishing from those who have gone solo or the traditional route?!
So glad to see you back! I also took a hiatus, came back and saw that you had gone off-radar. So disappointed, but so very happy to see you back, and writing prolifically. I’m still dibbling at it…

My sister has self-published, which essentially means she has to work really hard to promote it. I believe it really makes a difference based on genre as to self-publish or not. Best of luck with your decisions my friend.

Thanks. I’m gonna have a long think about it, because it’s a major decision. I’m not keen on the idea of doing tons of promo as I don’t feel that comfortable in those environments, but if it’ll shift some units I might have to. Seems like the days of the introvert writer are being stripped away.

I agree with all you have said here. It is indeed a major decision; but you will make the right one for you.
