Networking. Let’s do it!

JUST ABOUT EVERYONE has a Zuckerberg account, I mean Facebook, and / or Twitter on their blog page, but it’s easy to just come here for the excellent blog posts and totally, entirely, absolutely forget to network, after all that is what all writing is about; 90% social media, 10% actual writing. Isn’t it?! Maths wasn’t ever a strong point. So go ahead and add me if you like. I’ve been known to make vaguely humourous posts on Twitter. Well, just one actually. Back in 2011. I’m sure I’ll be funny again..

  1. Unfortunately, I don’t have Twitter or Facebook. I only spend time here on WordPress and that’s it. πŸ™‚ I use to have both social medias and I left it along time ago. It’s going to be 6 years or 7 years of total freedom. πŸ™‚

    1. If it wasn’t for my blog I doubt I’d bother. Being twitter/facebook free is something to be proud of in this day and age πŸ™‚

      1. Yes, indeed. I’ve been on social networking since the ‘Myspace’ days…and then that crashed and Facebook and twitter came and I just got really bored of both those social medias and finally, freedom and I am living the peaceful life. I usually get people telling me to get facebook and I tell them No!. They understand after I repeatedly keep saying no. I know they think I’m weird, but I don’t care. πŸ™‚ I’m happy and love writing and yes. πŸ™‚

  2. Sadly you seem to have to make name for yourself before any publisher wants to deal with you. Social media is great that way. But it’s sad it has to be that way. Well, that’s my experience as a playwright and the with agents/publishers in that area. Hell, even theaters say out loud “we prefer to work with established writers.”

So… social media in its all glory(if there is any?) and your math might be accurate, unfortunately :/

      1. I guess making your name visible and “known” at publishers are a decent way to go. Someday they’ll be like “where have I seen that name before” πŸ™‚

  7. monkey ask Man if it = okay for monkey make connectedess in world wide mind with other sentient creature but Man say no. monkey scratch head for show not understand & ask Man explain please. Man say # 1 monkey blog connection already strain simple brain of monkey to limit of capacity for connectedness & # 2 Man too busy with final revisement and editation of novel to help monkey make account in facebook & twitter & etc and then help monkey keep up with networking obligation. that why monkey not able for add lionaroundwriting onto monkey network what not exist. monkey apologize & hope there no hurt feeling.
