CORONA…VIRUS. OK, it feels great to get those words out of the way at the beginning.

Strange times. Global crisis. A planet descending into its own black hole. A shareholders nightmare. Stock market doom. But hey, the canals in Venice have never been more serene and picturesque.
Apart from the obvious, I’m here to talk about something other than a spreadable virus. That makes it sound like some sort of lab margarine, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Wuhan.
Moving on.
An iconic advertising series is that of Stella Artois circa early 2000 by the Lowe London agency. Shot in black and white, or drained colour, with minimal dialogue and the tagline of being ‘Reassuringly Expensive’ the adverts had wit, class and enduring appeal. I’ve rarely seen anything to match them since. The standard pint became a Stella, because you had to be drunk to buy the other piss water available.
The video below seems especially apt for today’s times. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=NRan8h9Mt2o
And poor old Corona beer, their sales are down. Yet more evidence, it’s planet stupid, not earth.
The falling sales of Corona beer shows the immensity and depth of the stupidity in this world.
Hope you are well my friend. It has been a while.

It is indeed. Along with the toilet paper brigade.
Mad times!
I’m well, I hope you are too.
I need to post more. I’ll drop by soon, I hope you’re still dropping poetics.
