   Christianity — excellent moral ideals; terrible implementation.
   America’s enduring slogan: Land of the Free — different degrees of freedom?
   Putting the ‘Great’ in Great Britain — we’ve spent the last five years taking it out.

      About sums it up 😂👍
      Although I’d argue the UK has been on a slide for a good 50 years if not longer.
      Happens to every empire and America is going the same way only faster.
      Not exactly payback for colonialism or ridding countries of natives, but there’s likely a certain satisfaction of some sort of ‘karma’ being enacted even if long after the events.

         There is some truth in that. I always think it’s a pity we don’t learn from history rather than using it as the basis of a kind of tit-for-tat.
